The work of Bill Brandt

Bill Brandt was a German born, British photographer born in 1904. He spent his early child hood and early teens growing up during World War I. After a battle with tuberculosis which he won, he moved to London in 1933 and began documenting British society. He's well known for his high contrast images, landscape shots and nudes. I love Bill's work, the way he captures his scenes just leave you wondering what is going on!

Here is some of Bills work:

Snowy Madness!

Well for us British folk, it's quite common for us to get snow at this time of year, we all wish for a white Christmas, providing it doesn't get too white!

Well this week it snowed where I live, in sunny, north England, but it's been the heaviest snow I've seen in many years. We all know Britian comes to an indefinite halt when the first flake of snow touches the floor, it's natural for us to go bezerk. It's not our fault! We simply do not know how to battle this fluffy substance head on, and usually it leads to 70%+ of schools and public transport services being closed. I woke up this Tuesday morning to find that we had in fact been snowed in, so I took a stroll with the dog and decided to take a few snaps!
